Garden Design for Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire

Complete garden design

The garden design process is made up of several key stages:

The Initial Consultation

As part of the initial consultation, we will come and visit you at your home to talk about your requirements and ideas for the garden. A comprehensive questionnaire will be completed with you and time will also be spent walking around the garden so that issues and needs can be discussed in more detail.

The Detailed Quotation

After the initial consultation, we will prepare a detailed letter for you outlining the design process, confirming details of our discussions during the initial consultation, specifying the basic concept for the design, outlining the terms of business, specifying the cost of the design and detailing each stage payment and when it will be required.

The Site Survey

Once you have agreed to go ahead with the design process, we will arrange to carry out a survey of your garden. As well as taking accurate measurements of the site, this will also include determining that state of any existing planting, the soil type and analysing visual elements such as views from the house, etc. The first stage payment is due at this stage of the process.

The Outline Plan

The Outline Plan (drawn to scale) will give you an opportunity to see the design for your garden taking shape. We will fully discuss the design with you at this stage and note any changes that you require which will then be used as the basis for the final garden plan. The second stage payment is due at this stage of the process.

The Final Garden Plan(plus optional Planting Plan)

The Final Garden Plan (drawn to scale) will provide all of the information to implement your new garden design. As well as showing the precise location of all the features of the garden, it will also include details of recommended materials and the quantities required, together with construction notes for any elements to be built, e.g. pergolas, water features, etc.

If you have commissioned a planting plan this will be drawn to scale and show the precise location of each plant and quantity required, together with their full botanical name. Detailed notes will be provided with the Planting Plan, detailing a full description of each plant, maintenance requirements and the size of each plant at maturity The last stage payment is due at this stage of the process.
